Stories take not only the children but also the adults into this secret forest. Nothing in that forest is like anything else. It is filled with only wonder, joy and bliss. There is no semblance of reality.
That's how the little world of the little boy named Kutti Mochu in this novel written by Ival Bharati unfolds beautifully in front of our eyes. Kutti Mochu, who is living in the world of stories, asks for stories from anyone he meets. He keeps all the stories they tell in a box and locks it. Some of those stories get lost due to mother's carelessness.
From here the novel heats up. Who would have told those stories to Kutti Mochu? How did all those stories come about? How did Mochu face everything? Kutti Mochu is the story of those stories. Not only that, some of the incidents in Kutti Mochu's stories raise huge questions for us. Reading by reading the story becomes very interesting. Kutti Mochu is a good example of how imaginative a children's novel should be.
